Underground Junior Mine Geologist
To be successful in this role you will ideally have:
· Bachelor Degree in Geology, faculty of engineering geology will be preferable.
· 1 - 2 years of experience in underground/ open cut mining.
· At least intermediate knowledge of English language.
· Familiarity with office, mapping and modeling software.
· Imaginative thinking and not be afraid of working underground.
· Strong work ethic, enthusiasm and high motivation levels.
· Desire to grow and develop your technical skills.
· Ability to make a positive contribution to the technical team of our UG mine.
You will be a part of a very dynamic mining team in this role, where work safety and a family friendly work balance is a number one priority.
In this role your main duties will include:
· Promotion of site safety inspecting and recording geotechnical data.
· Geological interpretation of deposit structure.
· Strata modeling.
· Making UG geological database.
· Logging and collecting data from underground advance boreholes drilling.
· Taking geotechnical samples if required.
· Geological mapping of underground works.
· Collaboration with mine surveyor’s team.
· Reporting and transferring geological database.
