QUALIFICATIONS
· He/she must have sufficient cross-discipline technical knowledge and successfully manage the inter-discipline interfaces.
· He/she must also be able to identify areas where specialist technical assistance is required, select a competent source of specialist assistance, define the work scope, monitor the work performed, interpret the results, and incorporate the work into the overall project work scope.
· He/She must have a demonstrated track record leading a multi-discipline engineering design team for offshore oil and gas facilities projects.
· He/she must be degree educated in an engineering related field, and ideally have chartered engineer status within a recognized engineering body or be a register professional engineer.
· The Engineering Manager will have at least twelve (12) years or more of design engineering experience on offshore oil and gas facilities, with five (5) or more years experience working as an Engineering Manager on at least two (2) major offshore oil and gas projects
· He/she must have previous experience working within a risk based HSE framework.
· He/she must demonstrate:
· Capability to supervise and coordinate the design of the projects to meet schedule and cost requirements.
o Breadth of experience and knowledge across all design disciplines.
o Experience in preparation of scopes of work and basis of design for detailed engineering, for offshore projects of similar size and complexity.
o Experience in organizing and coordination of safety and operability studies.
o Preferably with International Experience
o Preferably with previous experience with TOTAL E&P specifications and
o Referential and/or other Major Oil and Gas Company
JOB DESCRIPTION
The Engineering Manager, shall be responsible for the whole detailed design effort and coordination of CONTRACTOR’s and/or CONTRACTOR’s Engineering Subcontractor’s discipline engineering professionals, and shall ensure that all designs comply with the requirements of the CONTRACT DOCUMENTS; that all engineering Work is efficiently and effectively executed in accordance with the criteria, specifications and standards in the CONTRACT DOCUMENTS and that the design is continually reviewed against COMPANY design goals and complies with requirements of COMPANY HSE philosophies and standards as accepted within the offshore oil and gas industry.
