A leading international laboratory group is seeking an experienced Business Development Specialist (BDS), Lab Technician (LT) & Lab Assistant (LA), ICP Chemist (ICP) to work in its Environment (BDS) , Core Laboratory (LT), Mineral (LA) & Environment and Mineral (ICP) division; located in Saudi Arabia. The successful applicant will become a part of a team that strives to exceed customer expectations by delivering quality results on time and by maintaining strong relationships with their clients.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate suitability for the position, ideally meeting the following criterion:
1. Business Development Specialist :
• 3-5 years experience in a Business Development role; preferably within the science industry.
• A sound knowledge of Environmental Analytical Chemistry.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Tertiary Qualifications in Science (preferably Chemistry or Environmental Science).
• Literacy in the use of MS Office Products (Word, Excel).
• Dedicated focus to exceeding customer expectations.
We are specifically seeking a highly motivated individual with well-developed communication, analytical and practical problem solving skills with the ability to manage and prioritise demanding workloads. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Assist in the assessment of present and future needs, trends, problems and profit opportunities.
• Preparation of quotations and tenders; including punctual follow up.
• Building a profile and gaining credibility in the Environmental analysis market.
• Assessing local and regional business opportunities and providing advice to Senior Management.
• Promoting a professional image to clients and the market in general.
• Actively maintain industry and market competitor knowledge.
• Foster a working environment that aims to increase productivity and efficiency through equipment upgrading, method enhancements, or new technologies
2. Lab Technician (Routine Core Testing)
• Practical laboratory experience in a commercial Core laboratory.
• Dedicated focus to Quality and Health & Safety Policy.
• Excellent communication, organisational and time management skills
• High level of computer literacy.
• Ability to absorb and retain high levels of information.
• Qualifications in Chemistry are preferable.
We are specifically seeking a highly motivated individual with well-developed communication, analytical and practical problem solving skills with the ability to manage and prioritise demanding workloads. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Ensuring all activities are conducted in accordance with the Quality Work Instructions;
• Ensuring that all tests are performed within both the time set down by the section supervisor and the relevant analysis standard.
• Controlling consumable stocks required for the tests performed.
• Highlighting anomalies in result and sample type and sample behaviour to the section supervisor.
• Performing required housekeeping duties.
3. Lab Assistant
• Practical laboratory experience in a commercial laboratory.
• Awareness of laboratory safety policy.
• Excellent communication, organisational and time management skills.
• Ability to absorb and retain new information.
• Certificate or Diploma level studies would be advantageous.
We are specifically seeking highly motivated individuals with good communication skills who are able to perform routine analytical tasks repeatedly. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Ensuring all activities are conducted in accordance with the Quality Work Instructions;
• Ensuring that all tests are performed within both the time set down by the section supervisor and the relevant analysis standard.
• Controlling consumable stocks required for the tests performed.
• Highlighting anomalies in result and sample type and sample behaviour to the section supervisor.

4. ICP Chemist
• 2-3 years commercial laboratory experience; preferably in an Environmental or Minerals facility.
• Experience operating and maintaining ICP instrumentation.

• Tertiary qualifications - Bachelor of Science (Chemistry Preferable).
• Computer literacy skills.
We are specifically seeking a highly motivated individual with well-developed communication, analytical and practical problem solving skills with the ability to manage and prioritise demanding workloads. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Ensuring all activities are conducted in accordance with the Quality Work Instructions;
• Prioritising daily workloads;
• Monitoring instrument performance;
• Work independently and provide training where required;
